Monrovia, Liberia — The Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia (EPA) has unveiled a high-impact collaboration with renowned gospel icon Ambassador Marion Cassell, leveraging the power of music to drive nationwide environmental awareness and action.
During a courtesy visit to EPA Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel K. Urey Yarkpawolo, Ambassador Cassell formally invited the Agency to her upcoming National Gospel Music Concert and embraced the proposal for the EPA Choir to perform on concert day.

As part of the visit, Ambassador Cassell and her entourage toured the EPA Laboratory, where they were impressed by the Agency’s modern testing capabilities and the team’s professionalism in monitoring air, water, and soil quality—key tools for safeguarding public health and the environment.
Dr. Yarkpawolo further invited Ambassador Cassell to co-create powerful environmental awareness songs with the EPA Choir—music crafted to inspire action, educate the public on sustainability, and celebrate Liberia’s natural heritage.
The partnership will deliver original songs and live performances spotlighting priorities such as waste management, climate resilience, clean air and water, and community-led conservation. Designed for maximum reach, the campaign will engage audiences across churches, schools, marketplaces, media platforms, and national events—turning melodies into a movement for a cleaner, greener Liberia.
Dr. Yarkpawolo lauded Ambassador Cassell’s influence and platform, noting that faith-based music is a uniquely powerful force for unity and social responsibility. Ambassador Cassell praised the EPA’s renewed visibility and proactive leadership, expressing excitement to elevate environmental messaging through gospel artistry.
With the EPA Choir set to grace Ambassador Cassell’s national concert and a joint song campaign now in motion, this partnership signals a bold new approach: using the universal language of worship to protect the environment, inspire hope, and mobilize communities across Liberia.
