The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) over the weekend organized the Agency’s first Policy Council meeting at Farmington Hotel in Margibi County. The two-day meeting was held with funding from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
The meeting brought together members of the Liberian Senate and House of Representatives; Government line Ministries, Agencies, and Commissions (MAC); the Liberia National Students Union (LINSU); the Liberia National Bar Association (LiBA); and the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA). All attendees were appointed by the President, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr.
This demonstrates the government’s commitment to following legal procedures in appointing an Executive Director/CEO of the Environment Protection Agency, with a 7-year tenure.
